Ten years in prison would be excessive punishment for three state police officers accused on weapons charges, according to a letter issued Tuesday by top police officials and two state senators...The three troopers were charged last month with violating federal firearms regulations by having illegal submachine guns at their homes.Gee, they're lucky they weren't Branch Davidians.
Y'know, I've got to stop being so judgmental about this stuff. I'm sure these LEO bosses and politicos would also put in a good word against excessive punishment if it was you or me being charged...
