Orlando Sentinel's Lying Headline

Gun law triggers at least 13 shootings
That's one hell of a claim. Too bad not one of their anecdotes substantiates the inflammatory charge that Florida's new "stand your ground" law had anything to do with the decision by the people involved to discharge their weapons.

In fact, the story's lead paragraph belies the sensational headline:
Michael Brady didn't think about his rights when he shot and killed a stranger in his front yard. He says he was just scared.
That sounds about right.

The most egregious example cited in the article, unsurprisingly, involves one of The Only Ones, who had been drinking and used his department-issued firearm. So naturally, the antis spin this as a reason why everybody else shouldn't be allowed to defend themselves.
