This Day in History: October 29

Absolutely nothing happened.

Not really. The History Channel site I normally reference is down, and the only other reference I could find remotely related to the Founding Era tells us that Joseph Bloomfield "resigned his post [with the Continental Army] on October 29, 1778 to accept civil office."
