Guns and Indoctrination Don't Mix

Less than a day before the March 15 district round of the decades-old N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission competition, one of East Wake's principals, with the support of the area superintendent who oversees that school, stopped the team from participating.

The reason: Ammo and students don't mix, the school officials said.

...That request drew the attention of Danny Barnes, area superintendent, and Sebastian Shipp, one of four principals at East Wake, and prompted them to review the status of Lumley's marksmanship team. This led to East Wake not being allowed to compete because of district policy.
Ah, yes, East Wake High. "The Home of the Warriors."

And let's not forget Wake Superintendent Del Burns. You can also tell him what you think here.

Good grief. Well, what else would we expect from a school that focuses a good part of its curriculum on "global studies"?

Read the whole story--including what outstanding kids these are, and the inane opinion of the stupid gun control goose. This goes beyond outrage.

They are denying a heritage of freedom. They are molding the thralls of tomorrow. They may be deluded or this may be premeditated subversion, but make no mistake: they do great evil here.

Let's hope there is legal recourse and it's pursued, although, in truth, these things are generally resolved at the expense of the tax cows. In a perfect world, the liability would fall squarely on the subversive decision-makers. I'd also want their jobs--these effete nincompoops have no business teaching anyone how to grow into a responsible adult.

Parents who care should also be nailing down members of the school board, finding where they stand, and dispensing reward or revenge when they run for reelection.
