Khawaja Found Guilty On Five Terror Charges

First man charged under Anti-terrorism Act
OTTAWA -- Momin Khawaja, the Ottawa computer specialist who plotted jihad from his government desk at foreign affairs, has been found guilty of five terrorism related charges.
Ontario Superior Court Justice Douglas Rutherford ruled Wednesday that Khawaja, 29, played a significant role in a plot to bomb sites in London, England in 2004.
Khawaja, the judge concluded in his verdict, had built a radio-frequency device for the express purpose of detonating a terrorist bomb.
"I find you guilty as charged," Judge Rutherford told Khawaja five times. The 29-day trial heard that a British terror cell, to which Khawaja was connected, considered targets that included a popular London nightclub, a shopping centre and major public utilities.

My Comment: His trial took a long time to commence, but the evidence that took a long time to organize proved to be overwhelming.
