Metrorail riders will soon have to open their bags for inspection under a new program announced Monday.Ah, Catoe! Wasn't it your boss who said "I suspect everyone and I suspect no one"?
The transit agency has posted signs in Metro stations, warning riders about the planned random bag searches...
"I have come to the conclusion that random inspections work," said John Catoe, Metro's General Manager. "An individual will not know if they're going to be checked if they're intending on being a threat to our system."
The "Only Ones" mentality: Coming soon to a police state near you, because the courts have said ignoring the Fourth Amendment is OK--the Founders evidently intended it to be a collective right applicable only to the state. Besides, what have you got to hide?
And remember, they hate us because we're free.
