WNU Editor Commentary

The biggest impact from the massacre at Mumbai will be in India's approach towards countering terror and terrorist attacks. Like the U.S. before 9/11, India played a passive or defensive role in its war against terror groups. Relying more on police and law enforcement to deter or stop terror attacks.

This is all now going to change. I expect India to now adopt a more aggressive role in combating terror groups, and to also adopt a more aggressive role against Pakistan. The implications of such a policy are going to be profound .... one that will not bode well for the peace process on the Indian subcontinent.

Tensions are going to rise between two nations and peoples that have been enemies for centuries. How this is going to impact us in the West will be discussed in the next commentary/editorial update.
