SEOUL, South Korea — A high-level delegation from North Korea will meet President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea on Sunday, South Korean leaders said, in the first major political meeting between the two Koreas in nearly two years.
“We hope this will become a turning point in South-North Korean relations,” Unification Minister Hyun In-taek of South Korea told reporters on Saturday, confirming that Mr. Lee will meet Kim Ki-nam, a secretary of the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, and Kim Yang-gon, the North’s intelligence chief, on Sunday.

My Comment: It is a surprise to see North Korea's spy chief Kim Yang Gon make the visit to South Korea as part of the North Korean delegation to pay homage to the former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung.
