Prince William, Kate Middleton To Wed -- ABC News

After Years of Speculation and Waiting, Prince William's Engagement Announced

"Waity Katie" must wait no more. Today, a mere eight years since the couple met, Britain's Prince William is officially engaged to 28-year-old Kate Middleton, royal officials said.

"The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton," the statement from Clarence House read.
