The two worlds couldn't be further apart, but former Miss England, Corporal Katrina Hodge, is hanging up her tiara to prepare for a tour in Afghanistan.

The 24-year-old, dubbed Combat Barbie, joined the armed forces when she was just 17 and was decorated for her bravery in Basra, Iraq.

But for the past 12 months, Hodge has been replaced the world of guns and tanks with that of of fake tan and skimpy swimsuits.
