White House Threatens $10 Billion Security Spending Cut -- USA Today



The deficit-reduction law signed by President Obama this month threatens to reduce security spending by $10 billion below the levels set by House Republicans.



Under terms of the law, spending could be automatically trimmed if lawmakers don't keep it below the ceilings set separately for domestic and security programs.
