Graphic: UK Armed Forces Cuts -- The Telegraph
The Ministry of Defence has released its latest figures showing permanent stations for military and civilian staff across the globe.
New data shows a decreasing staff count at the Ministry of Defence in both military and civilian roles.
The UK regular forces strength (military personnel in the Army, RAF and Navy) has fallen from 191,320 in October 2009 to 184,010 in October 2011, a four per cent fall.
The Strategic Defence and Security Review outlined plans to cut the military budget by 7.5 per cent over five years.
My Comment: A sobering assessment on how much the British military has been impacted by budget cuts.
