The National Rifle Association endorsed Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue`s re-election bid Sept. 28. "We support Gov. Perdue because he has stood with the gun owners, hunters and sportsmen of Georgia at every turn," said NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre.

From AP:

Gov. Sonny Perdue said Tuesday that he opposes a gun bill backed by the National Rifle Association that would allow employees to keep their firearms in their parked car at work.

Without intending to reopen that debate here, I do find it interesting how political candidates are selected for endorsement--and how they are not.
