The response to my short story "Absolved" has been gratifying, both in the blogosphere and in personal emails. It seems there is some demand for me to expand upon Phil Gordon's story. People especially want to know what happens when his friends in the wider world (and particularly his children Robert, Susan and John) react to his death. I have decided to tell them, so there will be an "Absolved" novella.
I whipped out the first story in about eight hours (and it shows) but this larger project will perforce take longer. I may spin it out in chapters on the net, or just try to get the whole thing printed in hard copy. I will let you know what I decide. In the mean time, please announce to your blog audience that Phil Gordon, through his children and friends, will be returning to give "the gang" the simple justice they so richly deserve.
