Online Job Application

The following is an exercise in pure chutzpa and self-aggrandizement. Since presuming to write is an act of egotism anyway, what the heck. It's not like wearing tight sweaters and hanging around in Hollywood drug stores has been working out for me.

The publications tracked by Blogrunner are chosen by New York Times editors.
Interesting, Times editors--you also saw fit to use me as a source for your Virgina Tech gun rights analysis (although you omitted my main points). So--how about a job?

It's not like the same old "Authorized Journalism" is working any more, so why not try something new? Surely you're not so far into urban liberal elitism that you don't recognize alienation of a significant public demographic is bad for business?

You know that few issues are more "hot button" than gun rights. You know that every time the subject is broached, the letters pour in. That means high readership. And reader response is always passionate.

Now think of one columnist for a major newspaper focused exclusively on promoting the right to keep and bear arms. You’ll find none. Yet there are over 80 MILLION estimated gun owners in this country. This rich subject area is largely untapped.

You know I can do it--you have access to my work, and somebody with authority made the decision to reference me twice now in the past year.

So why not give it a try? 750 words, once a week? I work cheap and can give you something you've never had before.

Or do you get applications like this all the time?
