Well, the short story is that I found out my National Rifle Association dues were used to pay for a massive swiftboating ad campaign against Barack Obama regarding guns and shortly thereafter decided that I was not going to take it.Tripped on your face right out of the starting gate. If you knew the first thing about what you're talking about, you'd know:
Neither NRA member dues nor contributions to ILA can be used directly for the election or defeat of candidates.You're going to do the honorable thing and issue a retraction and apology now, right?
If you're intent on drinking the Obama Kool-Aid, enjoy. When rationality isn't part of the mix, it's no use bringing up facts. It's your credibility, after all--feel free to publicly destroy it.
But at the very least, get your damn finger away from that trigger.
