BAE Systems has been awarded $1.65 billion of a potential final contract value of $2.2 billion by the U.S. Army for up to 10,000 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. More than 48,000 FMTVs, such as the cargo variant shown above, are in use today by the U.S. Army.

(NSI News Source Info) SEALY, Texas - November 20, 2008: BAE Systems has been awarded a $1.6 billion contract from the U.S. Army to build another 10,000 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) and trailers for delivery during 2009 and 2010. Earlier this year, BAE Systems received two contracts totaling nearly $2.1 billion for 10,000 vehicles, and to provide program support, engineering, integrated logistics support, configuration management and field service support.
