At least three people have been killed and 30 wounded in a bomb blast in the Afghan city of Kandahar, police say.
They say that the brother of President Hamid Karzai was caught up in the explosion but was not injured.
Ahmed Walli Karzai was chairing a meeting of local politicians when a car parked close to the building exploded.
The BBC's Ian Pannell in Kabul says that this was the biggest attack of its kind in Kandahar, the birthplace of the Taleban movement.
