Gone are the days when Iraq was No 1, Afghanistan No 2 and Pakistan No 3 in the list of suicide bomb attacks. This year, Pakistan has topped the list and is No 1 trailing Iraq and Afghanistan behind if one has a cursory look on the total number of suicide attacks.
When Pakistanis were celebrating Pakistan Day on March 23 this year suicide bombers had completed 18 missions killing more than 250 people and wounding several hundreds. Being war zone, Iraq and Afghanistan showed fewer figures of suicide attacks than those of Pakistan. In Afghanistan only three suicide bomb occurrences were registered with 15 people dead. In Iraq, the number of suicide attacks was 13 and the toll was 275.
