The "Quick Kill" active protection system being developed for the Army's Future Combat Systems is supposed to be the Next Big Thing in vehicle protection: it will be able to shoot down anti-tank rounds in flight. The Raytheon-designed system has seen its share of developmental hiccups (and, courtesy of NBC, some bad publicity), but the Army recently released a video that shows a Quick Kill interceptor smacking down an incoming RPG round.
