U.S. Africa Task Force, No Longer Homeless

The neglected stepchild of the Pentagon's overseas deployments is finally getting a stable home. Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, the U.S. military's only publicly acknowledged permanent presence on the continent, has moved from the Iraq- and Afghanistan-focused Central Command, to the new Africa Command (Africom), which has its headquarters in Germany.
