Washington sent Special Forces into Pakistan last summer after intercepting a call by the Pakistani army chief referring to a notorious Taleban leader as a “strategic asset,” a new book has claimed.
The intercept was ordered to confirm suspicions that the Pakistani military were still actively supporting the Taleban whilst taking millions of dollars in US military aid to fight them, according to the “The Inheritance,” by the New York Times correspondent David Sanger.

My Comment: Billions of U.S. military aid unaccounted for. U.S./Nato supply lines being disrupted all the time. Sheltering Al Qaeda leaders and their Taliban allies in their major cities. Pakistan's ISI Intelligence Services being implicated in terror attacks in Afghanistan .... attacks that targeted U.S. and foreign citizens.
One can make a very convincing case that Paksitan is saying one thing .... but are doing the opposite.
These accusations are nothing new. India and many Pakistan critics have been stating publicly for years that the Pakistan military has been playing both sides .... positioning themselves to profit from the monies and goods that are always in transit to support the war in Afghanistan.
The problem is that these double game is no longer possible. The Taliban

The problem is that these double game is no longer possible. The Taliban in Pakistan have refused to continue paying off Pakistani officials .... and are now at war with the Central Government. India is steamed at Pakistan for what happened in Mumbai last year, and the U.S. is now reluctant to work with Pakistani Intelligence nor give a blank check to the Pakistan Government.
Hmmmm .... I guess the gravy train is now over.
