A two-decade-old state law that grants authorities the power to seize property used in a crime is wielded by some agencies against people who are never charged with, much less convicted, of a crime. I'd say it would be fair to assume any "Only One" conducting a stop in Tenaha is an armed robber, and repel him just as you would one that was not wearing a uniform.
This kind of petty local tyranny really pushes all my buttons.
