Commander Don Gabrielson of USS Freedom discusses how his new high-speed, “modular” ship might fight pirates. He mentions that Freedom could use its wake to capsize pirates’ boats. Neat idea, but does he realize that many pirates can’t swim, and flipping their boats would kill them?
