My Comment: Today is a big holiday in Iran. An official announcement from the government will probably come out tomorrow or on Sunday. I would characterize their first response to President Obama's offer as "luke warm" at best.
Bottom line .... they are not going to take his offer up on president Obama's offer for the simple reason that in order to reciprocate they will need to eventually give up on their nuclear enrichment program .... an option which is not acceptable to them and a non-starter in any negotiation.
The only way that they will change their position is if their is a change in government for the Iranians .... a situation that is very remote at the moment.
