BEIRUT (AFP) — Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on Monday vowed his Lebanese militant party stands ready to fight a new war with Israel, as the Jewish state readies large-scale military exercises later this month.
"There is a possibility, albeit small, that Israel may be preparing to launch a new surprise war and is readying its people for such an eventuality," Nasrallah said in a televised address.
"If Israel plans on pulling anything during the manoeuvres (May 31 to June 4), we're sending it a message that we stand ready and they will fail," he added. "We will not bury our heads in the sand.

My Comment: Israel's focus is on Iran and its growing nuclear program. It can be argued that Hezbollah is just a stooge of Iran (which in a way they are), but they are now in a position to win next month's Lebanese elections and to run the government. What they will do with that power is easy to predict .... Islamic radicalism and talk of war.
Will Hezbollah push Lebanon into a war with Israel .... at this moment I will give this a 50 - 50 chance.If the Israeli - Iranian conflict becomes hot .... I will make this prediction at 100%.
