ALEXANDRIA, Va. | President Barack Obama released the federal budget for 2010 last week in Washington D.C., and this was his first major budget release of his Administration setting the precedent for his Presidency.
Inside of his $3.4 trillion budget was the Department of Defense's Budget request of $534 billion and the Missile Defense Budget request for $7.8 billion. The Department of Defense budget was increased by $21 billion, a 4% increase from last year while funding going to the Missile Defense Agency budget was decreased by $1.2 billion, a 13% decrease.
