WHAT do you do if you run out of ideas on Afghanistan? If you're President Obama's special envoy Richard Holbrooke, you call for a dialogue with the Taliban.
Holbrooke isn't the only one to play the old "talk to the Taliban" tune as if it were this summer's hit. British Foreign Secretary David Milliband has also urged NATO to bring the Taliban "into the picture" -- a stance Secretary of State Hillary Clinton praised this week.
