[More]And what, exactly is his wife prepared to do about it if someone decides to bring a "thing" in the house in defiance of her command?
So let's see, after going through five pages of explaining all the ridiculous hoops he had to jump through and listening to him emote self doubt and rationalize his abdication of adult responsibilities, he ends up not keeping the gun?
I guess it doesn't occur to him that the people who don't jump through such hoops--the people who can get a gun in D.C. any time they want-- would laugh at the foolishness of it all? Right before they turned their attention to his wife, and assuming he's still able to scream through the duct tape...?
But that never happens to lucky people, does it?
