SEAL Pleads Not Guilty In Iraq Detainee Case

Navy SEAL Jonathan Keefe Pleads Not Guilty -- USNAVYSEALS.com

The arraignment for Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class (SEAL) Jonathan Keefe, the last of the three SEALs who were slapped with charges based on a complaint by suspected terrorist Ahmed Hashim Abed to be arraigned, has been conducted. As expected, Keefe entered a plea of ‘not guilty’.

The arraignment was conducted in a military court on Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia. His plea of ‘not guilty’ to charges of dereliction of duty and making a false official statement was entered by Keefe through his lawyer, Greg McCormack. A trial was originally scheduled for January 26; McCormack, however, requested for and has been granted a continuance, which resulted in the postponement of the trail to April 6 of next year.
