My Comment: I have no problem with this name change .... the U.S. Marines have a unique and special history in the U.S. military .... and they should be recognized for it.

But in the scheme of things, this is a minor thing. F-35 problems, multi-billion dollar budgets for ships of dubious value and questionable value, protracted war in Afghanistan, trillion dollar deficits, projected future budget and program cuts for the military .... instead of focusing on these issues the U.S. Senate has decided that a name change is more important.

It figures .... instead of providing leadership on the real issues, they have decided that they should debate this.
