Omar Khadr Apologizes To U.S. Soldier’s Widow At Tribunal -- Globe And Mail
Convicted terrorist and murderer Omar Khadr faced the widow of the U.S. special forces medic that he killed and apologized Thursday before a packed war crimes tribunal at Guantanamo Bay.
In a unsworn statement, meaning he cannot be cross-examined, Mr. Khadr stood, faced Tabitha Speer, the widow of Sergeant Chris Speer, and told her he wished there was something he could do for her and her two fatherless children.
