My Comment: No direct US aircraft involved .... no U.S. ground troops .... only unmanned drones and refueling operations permitted. My Comment: No direct US aircraft involved .... no U.S. ground troops .... only unmanned drones and refueling operations permitted. When I read this .... it is easy to come to the conclusion that that President Obama's threats are almost empty. If I was the Libyan strongman, I would be more concerned on what countries like Britain and France may do .... and the token Arab participation that will be involved. As to the war itself .... I would intensify the conflict ASAP so that it would end before NATO forces are in a position to have an impact.
Update: No surprise .... Gaddafi's forces have intensified ground operations against rebel positions throughout the country. I guess the opposition's assessment that Gaddafi's declaration of a ceasefire is just a ruse are bearing out.
