'Utterly Horrifying' Violence As I. Coast Standoff Persists -- Yahoo News/AFP

ABIDJAN (AFP) – The UN said Friday it had found evidence of "utterly horrifying" violence in Ivory Coast including more than 100 bodies, as internationally recognised president Alassane Ouattara enforced a blockade of his rival.

Laurent Gbagbo, who has refused to cede power after a November election, was holed up in his bunker in the west African nation's main city, encircled by forces loyal to Ouattara.
