Libyan Fighters Mass For Assault On Sirte -- Al Jazeera
Rebels consolidate gains and await reinforcements from Tripoli ahead of push towards Gaddafi's hometown.
Libyan fighters are continuing their advance towards Sirte, Muammar Gaddafi's hometown and one of his last bastions of support, supported by continuing NATO air strikes in the area.
Rebel forces are massing for an assault on the coastal city from both Ras Lanuf and Bin Jawad in the east, and from Tripoli and Misrata to the west.
But Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr said rebels on the frontline were waiting for further reinforcements to join them from the capital.
