U.S. Congressional Hearings Begin On The US Consulate Attack In Benghazi



Congressional Panel Examines Benghazi Attack -- Voice of America

The U.S. House of Representatives has started hearing testimony on the situation in Benghazi prior to the September 11 attack that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

The hearing Wednesday, which is being held by the Republican-led House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, includes testimony by Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wood, the former head of the U.S. military team in Libya, and Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy.

White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan was in Libya Wednesday to discuss investigations into the attack with Libyan leaders.
