Lack Of Resources Worries Afghans As Americans Pack Up -- Stars and Stripes
FORWARD OPERATING BASE SWEENEY, Afghanistan — On a mountaintop, just outside Forward Operating Base Sweeney, U.S. and Afghan National Army troops held one of their final joint training missions.
The Americans are packing up and leaving, and the Afghans will be left to defend the base themselves.
During the exercise, U.S. troops engaged targets in a simulated mission, and the Afghans followed their lead. The Afghan troops here have performed well so far in engagements with the Taliban, but they fear their lack of resources will hamper their operations in the future.

My Comment: I am sure that there is a will among the Afghan soldiers to fight .... but if they are not supplied and supported by the government in Kabul .... and if the rules of engagement to support them are not changed .... their effectiveness will be diminished over time.
