That was one of the key questions making the rounds of the Pakistani capital Islamabad today, as speculation grew in the country’s press over reports of a phone call which turned out to be a hoax.
The rumor was that last Friday India's foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee had called Pakistan’s president Asif Ali Zardari and threatened Islamabad with dire consequences following the Mumbai attacks.

My Comment: I first reported this story two days ago. It indicates how little both sides are in open communication with each other .... that they cannot even recognize the voice at the other end of the line. If it was not for U.S. intervention, this could have easily resulted in a shooting war.
I can only hope that the fools who perpetuated this hoax are found and prosecuted under the full weight of the law.
