Two Israeli policemen have been shot dead and their car overturned on a West Bank road in what appeared to be an attack by Palestinian gunmen.
The attack on Sunday night is the first fatal shooting death of Israelis in the West Bank in almost a year.
It came as a reminder of tensions on the ground that continue to simmer between the sides with peace talks frozen, as Israel tries to assemble a new government and the Palestinians try to work out a power-sharing deal between their rival factions.
