Copenhagen Climate Change Summit: Angry Clashes Ahead Of Major Protests Where 45,000 Are Expected To March On Summit Venue -- The Daily Mail

Near 70 protesters were arrested during angry street clashes in Copenhagen yesterday as the first week of the United Nations climate talks drew to a close.

Activists had urged hundreds of supporters to disrupt meetings of industry and lobby groups attending the summit, accusing them of being 'climate criminals'.

The arrests came as more than 45,000 demonstrators were preparing to descend on the Danish capital today, demanding tough international action against global warming.
