Since his arrest in a gruesome triple slaying, Edward Covington has fought with, cussed at and threatened detention deputies, once even trying to bite a jailer's finger, officials say.

But that didn't stop Covington's father, a former detention deputy, from telling him to "put a hurting" on his jailers "when they come through the door"...

The elder Covington was assigned to Falkenburg Road Jail. His son, a former state corrections officer, remains confined at Orient Road Jail. [More]

Sounds like a chip off the old cell block. You know, an hereditary "Only One."
