My Comment: I am losing track of this President's inconsistencies. But in this case the move to a civilian court of the 9/11 terrorists has deep political implications that may favor President Obama in the next few years. By putting U.S. policies and conduct on the war against terrorism on trial with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the worse of the worse is going to be revealed, and I am sure that the media and President Obama's allies are going to focus on that .... while ignoring who and what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed actually is.
Will they succeed .... I have my doubts but from their perspective it is worth a try.
As to the above video, U.S. Senator Obama is right .... KSM should be put on trial in a military courtroom. KSM's own confession of guilt in his involvement and planning of 9/11 is enough to assure a conviction in a military courtroom. Why ignore his confession and move this trial into a public and civilian courtroom .... as I said .... there is more at play here than what they are telling us.
