Strike Fighter To Cost More: US Probe -- Sydney Morning Herald

Australia's new Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) combat aircraft could cost substantially more than previous estimates, according to evidence to a United States senate committee.

No firm price has been set for the Australian JSF but in 2008 Lockheed Martin officials were pointing to a price under $US60 million ($A65.5 million) per aircraft, based on US and international orders for 868 aircraft produced in the period 2012-17.
